Subaru is back on top of the 2020 GT Sport FIA Manufacturer points table with a four-point lead over Mercedes and eight points over Porsche, making it a two-horse race for the stage one bragging rights.

Danny Solis (PX7-Lamb) and Takuma Miyazono (Kerokkuma_ej20) put in healthy displays in last night’s Maggiore GR4 for the Japanese brand and even wins for Mercedes’ Cody Latkovski (Nik_Makozi)in Australia and Baptiste Beauvois (Wong_Baguette_F1) in Europe couldn’t ease the pain.

Porsche are now out of the hunt in third place unless something miraculous happens while early leader Mazda has tumbled down the order to ninth, and was dealt a crushing blow with the announcement by Tom Lartilleux (Veloce_StorM) that he was withdrawing from the series until further notice.

Nissan and Toyota will fight it out for the last two top-five places at Interlagos during the week, a circuit at which Subaru’s reigning world champion Mikail Hizal (TRL_Lightning/MH16) is particularly fast.
